BC Growing Degree Days (GDD) Update

Below is the October 2022 GDD Update for Summerland and Osoyoos. The Summerland research team is pleased to announce that the report has been expanded to include additional locations.  The additional locations come from the Grape Weather Network, an array of high quality weather stations that have been placed within vineyards by the Viticulture and Enology Team at the Summerland Research and Development Centre.  The added locations are West Kelowna, Naramata Bench, Okanagan Falls and Golden Mile. The team notes that this is the final update for the 2022 growing season, and that this year presented a very interesting climate that included some of the coolest and warmest months.
